Mortgage Loan Officer – Howard, OH and throughout OH, FL, and PA

Experienced loan officers with an active NMLS number only.

Individuals will market themselves and the company to provide mortgage solutions for customers looking to purchase a home or refinance their mortgage. The ability to market yourself is a must and having an existing client base and referral network is ideal. You will take mortgage applications, gather documents, and evaluate the credit, collateral, and borrower's ability to repay the mortgage loan. You will act as a liaison between customers, processing staff, and our wholesale lending partners in order to make obtaining a mortgage loan simple, close quickly, and align with the homeowner’s long-term financial goals.

Qualified individuals must be successful, self-motivated, ethical, and experienced originating residential mortgages. This includes:

  • Currently a full-time loan officer with two (2) or more years of experience in the mortgage industry.
  • Closing three (3) or more loans a month and $500,000 plus in volume monthly, ideally from past clients and referral network.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
  • Financially stable with average or better credit history. No criminal history.
  • Active state NMLS ID or ability to obtain prior to employment if working under a banking exemption/registration.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of conventional, non-conforming, government (FHA/VA/USDA), and non-qm products and pricing strategies.
  • Familiarity with computers, mortgage origination software, and technology.
  • Customer satisfaction focused on sales competencies.
  • Ability to work in a goal-oriented environment
  • Excellent character and ethics

 

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Directly responsible for building a client base and referral network of realtors, builders, and financial service professionals within your market.
  • Provide homeowners with a great customer experience starting with sound advice and loan product recommendations based on their goals and needs.
  • Provide homeowners with a great customer experience by taking a complete mortgage application and obtaining financial documents in order to evaluate the credit, collateral, and the ability of the borrowers to pay their mortgage.
  • Work with the corporate marketing team to implement strategies to maintain high visibility and brand yourself in the community and on social media.
  • Provide homeowners with a great customer experience by working with processing staff, referral sources, and wholesale lending partners to ensure the homeowner's loan closes quickly.  
  • Set and attain personal goals for sales volume.
  • Stay current on company policies and procedures, watch for red flags, and help minimize risk to the company.
  • Work in compliance with state and federal lending laws and regulations.
  • Stay current on industry news and financial market conditions.
